Efektivitas Suplementasi Tepung Daun Kelor dan Bee Bread Terhadap Kadar Hemoglobin, Hematokrit Remaja Putri Anemia

Abstract

Pendahuluan: anemia masih merupakan masalah kesehatan. Tanaman kelor atau dalam Bahasa latin dikenal dengan Moringa Oleifera Lam merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman yang mengandung zat besi tinggi. Tujuan: mengetahui efektivitas suplementasi kapsul tepung daun kelor dan bee bread terhadap kadar hemoglobin dan hematokrit remaja putri anemia. Metode: Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT). Subyek penelitian adalah remaja putri anemia 13 orang kelompok intervensi (pemberian suplemen kapsul tepung daun kelor dan bee bread) dan 11 orang kelompok kontrol (pemberian suplemen kapsul tepung daun kelor dan placebo) sesuai kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data karakteristik diukur menggunakan kuesioner sementara untuk menilai perubahan kadar hemoglobin dan hematokrit dilakukan pengujian sampel darah pre dan post suplementasi.  Analisis data menggunakan Chi Square, Uji t Dependen dan Independen. Hasil: Peningkatan kadar hemoglobin lebih besar ditunjukkan oleh kelompok intervensi (mean difference 1.72) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (mean difference 1.15). Sementara itu kadar hematokrit mengalami penurunan yang lebih besar pada kelompok kontrol (mean difference 3.27) dibandingkan kelompok intervensi (mean difference 2.78). Kesimpulan: tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada perbandingan nilai hemoglobin dan hematokrit antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol setelah suplementasi (posttest).
